There are so many research studies for understanding human behaviour. Simultaneously scholars also pay their attention to understand the animal’s behaviour. So far, a recent study proved that the tears of both birds and reptiles are nearly identical to human tears.
As per the publication in “Frontiers in Veterinary Science” a group of veterinarians investigated this. In order to get an accurate conclusion, they collected tear samples from humans as well as macaws, owls, parrots, hawks, sea turtles, tortoises, and caimans. As per the gathered samples, bird and reptile tears had a slightly higher concentration than other species.
“Although birds and reptiles have different structures that are responsible for tear production, some components of this fluid (electrolytes) are present at similar concentrations as what is found in humans. But the crystal structures are organized in different ways so that they guarantee the eyes’ health and an equilibrium with the various environments.” Arianne Oriá, a professor of clinical veterinary medicine at the Federal University of Bahia in Salvador, Brazil, elaborate in a press release.
So tomorrow onwards don’t make those animals sad, because they cry like you…!!
