Childbirth is one of the critical moments for all married couples. Shona Moeller and Bob Conlin are waiting to see their firstborn child. At the twenty-nine weeks of the pregnancy, Shona showed few complications.
So she was instructed for bed rest at a Chicago-area hospital. But the Coronavirus won’t let Bob visit his wife in this precious moment. But Bob found a way to keep in touch with the wife, who wants not to be alone. He showcases his love being outside, which 40 feet below to Shona.
Since the coronavirus won’t let Bob visit his pregnant wife at the hospital, he’s bringing date nights to her just outside her window
“On March 23rd, Shona’s water broke at five months [into her pregnancy]. She had what’s called a preterm premature rupture of membranes, PPROM. It happened while we were working on our nursery. We had less than a 1% chance the baby would make it.” Bob told.
The day she admitted to the hospital was very depressed because they both sobbing without knowing what is going on. So he thought that Shona couldn’t be able to pass this moment without him. At first, they shared the moments through face time and Zoom, but Zoom couldn’t satisfy them. So bob decided to visit Shona at her window. “The outpouring of love and support from our family, community, and clients has helped a lot. Sharing our story, our love and hope have given us that love and hope right back. We have a strong spiritual practice as well that keeps us grounded and connected,” he said.
