Yulelogs, a seal, lives in Cornish Seal Sanctuary in the UK. Recently he celebrated his 31st birthday with a giant ice cake filled with fish. He was rescued in 1989 by a marine park in the north of England. This birthday was so special not only for him but for the whole sanctuary as well, since, in the wild, male grey seals tend to live to be around 25 years old.
“Yulelogs absolutely loved his birthday cake. It’s a great form of enrichment for him also, as it requires a bit of thinking on how to get the fish out of the cake!” Georgina Shannon, the marketing and media coordinator for the sanctuary, told.
Yulelogs was rescued back in 1989 by a marine park in the north of England
After some time, the park closed and the seal was released back into the wild
Later, the seal was rescued once again, since apparently, he had no idea how to feed himself and had become too used to humans
Now Yulelogs lives in Cornish Seal Sanctuary and he just turned 31
On his 31st birthday, the seal got surprised with a giant ice cake filled with fish
