It must say that parental love can do magical things which create wonders for the world. The story of Jerry Windle is a moral story to prove the strength of the love of a father. Jerry Windle faced lots of negativity just because of a single gay man who would never be a father. But his parental journey seems like a fairytale which proves merciful heart can win any battle.
Jerry Windle, a single gay man who strongly wanted to be a father, struggled with his dream. He was trying to adopt a kid from the US, but he couldn’t. One day he came across a magazine article about orphans in Cambodia. So he contacted the Cambodian officials, and soon he got life-changing news from them.
It all started with a magazine story.
The new family met numerous challenges from the start.
In 2000 he flew to Phnom Penh in Cambodia and chose Jordan to be his forever son whose birth parents was died. When they both met, the kid suffered from malnutrition, scabies, and severe infections. Jerry took him home to Florida, nursed him back to health, and immediately became his father. By being a good son for this single kind of heart, father Jordan entered a special diving program and succeeded. Today, Jordan will compete for the United States at the Olympics — and in his heart, he’ll also be representing Cambodia.
A tremendous Olympic career started accidentally.
The father and son have had the strongest bond through the years.
This moral story shows the unconditional love of father and son, and they proved “where is love, there is family.”
